Went to Sengkang today to help out in this Fund Raising event organised by my school's Freshmen Orientation Committee'05(FOC). The aim was to collect as much funds by collecting old clothes and old newspaper from people living in the flats. Though tiring, it was fun and meaningful as it was also for a good cause as the proceeds will also be given to The Children's Aid Society. Watever is was, its definitely better than staying at home alone :X

Were separated into groups of ard 8-10. There were 3 groups and each group had to cover 10-11 Blks of flats! Collected lots of clothing and toys, some of them still in perfect condition! We also recieved Personal Computers, electric fans and also a 20+" TV! Sengkang is a relatively new neighbourhood, so most of the houses were pretty new and well furnished. Remembered i saw one where the living room had an ambience similar to that of a pub with Dim blue lighting and a wine/drink bar. Some were messy, some were minimalistic and some were just normal looking. And with different houses comes different house owners.

Yes, some were friendly, some were rude, some were skeptical, some were not at home and some were unexpected. There was this family, where the kids and husband who were very helpful but this female, supposedly the wife, screaming at the back of the house in hokkien. Translated: "Tell them to go still come, dunno wat polytechnic one, den wat den wat den wat?"( credits to Sasa for the translation =) ) Theres another case which is considered quite sad. There were these few very young toddlers who opened the door. Looking for their parents, we asked them if their mother is around. One of the kid pointed to her mom's photo on the table and said, "my mother is there". Quite creepy, but to think of it, its really very sad, even more if it had happened not long ago.

Finally Completed everything ard 630pm. Went to Rivervale Mall for makan, chit chat a bit, and leave for home around 9pm. Really tired but at least, did something meaningful for a day rather than doing nothing for a day. Hope the children can live better and FOC hit their targeted amount!

First off, Merry Christmas everyone! Though im not someone who really understands the true meaning of celebrating Christmas, i guess that it is a day to spend precious time with frens and family. And im lucky to be spending eve with my secondary sch frens and Xmas with my family!

Last night, went to Royal Plaza on Scotts. Its a hotel near Far East plaza and Grand Hyatt. This hotel was the same hotel that the year of my secondary school prom was held oso! It was also the same hotel that we had stayed in during Xmas 2003 last year! So theres alot of nostalgia stepping into the main entrance. Since there is a rule on the number of occupants allowed in a hotel room at any one time, all of us took turns to go up to avoid being found out. Haha, eventually we managed to reach the room safely. The room is really big! Think its bigger than the one last year.

After everyone settled down, the guys went to play PS2 and the girls went to prepare the food. Wat stereotypes!! Anyway, im photographing, so im ok here... haha just kidding! There was Beef, Ham, chicken salad and of coz the turkey!! Ate it together with the sauce, sooo nice! Desert were 2 cakes that were too beautiful to be eaten, but oso too irresistable not to be eaten, yum! Strawberry and Chocolate!

All of us went down when it was 12am. It was really chaotic out there! Reminded me of a mini year 2000 countdown. The whole Orchard Road was literally snowing!! People were spraying each other with artificial snowflakes and those confetti strings. The snowflakes were ok since they dry up themselves, but the confetti though nice, are going to give the people who are gonna clean the place a very hard time. Hats off to them.

Yea, no one is spared, even photographer oso whacked, along with his camera! And i din even spray anyone!!! Haha, as long as everyone had fun =)

Went back to hotel room around 2am. It was Presents time!! Everyone bought a present to exchange with one another. Similar to last year, all presents were represented by a poker card. Then everyone has to pick a poker card and take his/her present that correspond to it. I got a Bodyshop bath and shower gel! haha. After the session, it was 3am+ le, guess the girls were too tired, so they went to sleep. Some guys went to continue their gaming session, some wanted to play 7 8 9, a game for drinkers where they have to drink and refill the cup with alcohol. I dun drink, so they change it to plain water! omg! Played chor dai dee(aka big 2, da lau er). The one with the most cards have to drink 1 cup. If left with 10 card, drink 2 cups. 11 and 12 cards, 3 cups. If never put any cards at all left with 13 cards, drink 4 cups! And guess whose the biggest loser? ME! yes! My skills have rusted and they took advantage!! =P No more plain water for me for the next few days! The torturing game finally ended at 7am where i had the "honour" to end it by losing and drinking 3 more cups -_- The bed was taken by the girls, the couch by the gamers, so some of us lie on the floor, which isnt bad at all, since its thickly carpeted. Just that, i cant get to sleep for more than 30 mins coz nature keep calling! Irritating! Those still gaming kept laughing every 30 mins i get up to go to the loo.... haha! Wat the, im laughing at myself! first time i ever got so "drunk"

Reached home today ard 11am, slept and woke up ard 3pm. Body clock all messed up liao. The water i had earlier on wasnt helping either, feeling abit blur, now. Going to watch kung fu hustle with my Cousins and family later, tink the show is going to refresh me!

Wat a shock i had when i log into my blog just now. Everything was jumbled up!

My ah ma made tang yuan this morning for my family to eat today. Yea, theres always a time of a year where many people will be eating tang yuan but very little people know why. Im one of those people, and fortunate enough to enjoy such delicacies. Ask my mum, she told me that it was because it is "dong zi" today, which meant that winter is coming. Obviously not in bright and shiny Singapore, so my guess is that this tradition comes way back from China?

Oooooohh, peanut, my favourite! While eating, was trying to create a Xmas spirit in my blog by drawing a Xmas tree. Okok, we dun have white xmas here, how bout a blue one? Fantasy and surreal? Matches my colour theme anyway, hope u guys like it =)

Phew, 2 days of marching and drills. Yea, i was involved in this change of command parade for 6 Division. Big events come with big cock-ups too! Nothing too unexpected. Yup, my job scope was acually to control traffic. But they always have not enough ppl, so im pulled into the parade oso as one of the infantry contingents. Reminded me of my NDP 2002 just that the standard now was much lower.And as all infantries, we had to camo our face! Last time i did that was during BMT LA! almost 3 years ago! Cant really blame them oso, 1 day to rehearse the whole parade oso.

Anyway, glad that its over. Whole body aching now, cant do any exercise =(
Reach home today and first thing i do was, SLEEP! The total number of hours i slept for that 2 days was lesser than 1 of my normal days. Really need that sleep to adjust myself back to civilian life haha! And boy i love to be back!

Uniform folded, Boots kiwi-ed, hair cut, spirits diminished? Yea, my first reservist call back tomolo till Friday. Need to wake up at 4.30am tomolo and catch the first bus and train to CCK -_-. Suddenly, i feel so old, like im the only one, most of my friends haven have theirs yet, good for them. Something like this in the middle of the holidays, really demoralising. Sudden change of routine, remembering the unhappy times back den, which is over but still, a scar in my mind. Not oni me, but my other army mates as well. The difference in treatment, organisation, everything, u question urself where is fairness. Fairness is nothing but an object manipulated by the powerful. We can only just use wat we have and salvage any drop of righteousness from the treatment we recieve and hope that it'll be enough to keep us sane, to help us survive, to see the sky tomorrow and everyday.

Yea, i can say more and in details, but theres too much, im afraid of bashing up my computer in the process. NO! peace, no violence, no war, no bloodshed. Taking it in my stride, just treat this as doing something for my country and loved ones.

After today's meeting, its decided that the orange design one would be chosen for the sports com polo tee! Haha, actually that was my first piece, tot more variation better. Ok, now need to confirm with the rest the sizes and quantity, hope the final print out would be nice.

After meeting, hop onto Roy's lorry and we went to PS to watch "National Treasure"! Couldnt remember when the last time i sat on the back of a lorry, but the feeling was damn shiok man! Wind blowing, cars travelling side by side, gives a sense of freedom and freeness Hair messy la, but dun care liao, have to cut by thurs =(. National treasure was so much better than i expected. Nicholas cage proved once again and confirmed my admiration for his acting. Remembered the movie "Face Off", partnering John Travolta, Nicholas Cage performed an excellent transition of his role from a Bad guy to a misunderstood good guy. Guess i shouldnt be skeptical about future movies with Nicholas Cage in it, Just Watch!

Fwah really bored man today, really dunno wat to do if i do not have a computer. Jio ppl go swim, some too lazy dun wan go some held up. SIAN AH! nobody jio me out -_-". Cooked own lunch, see sun very bright so go swim alone. Budden change swimming trunk come out only sky became grey, wahlau! Still went down swim few laps, brrrrr water so cold! Hope the weekends will be better...

Wooo! went back sch today for a short Sports com meeting. den stayed in school till evening to Complete the notice board for the comm. More or less done but looks rather plain, need to add somemore stuff. Oh, Huifen and Yee fang were the first to have the "honour" to see it! =P
Thanks to Jing xian, Liu ting and Rui xia who helped me out alot!

Evening time, patrick drove me, huifen and yee fang to pick siling. Planning to go tampines watch SHUTTER. The 5 of us were walking to the cinema when, we spotted Rongping and Lam!!! hoho, they joined us too for the show. Then eugene who was supposedly going to meet us for dinner only, was pulled by siling to watch oso. Yea, if any of u looking for ppl to play tug-of-war, look for siling, she power man hahaha! Eugene eventually joined us!

OK! everything that happened in the show is HISTORY. No spoilers from me! haha! Argh, i cant stand horror movies!! This will be the last!! Haha, dun like the idea of paying and scaring myself, but for ppl who like to get scared, this show is for u! Anyway it was still a fun outing oso due to the unexpected large turnout! Thank you Patrick for sending everybody home, 3 of us guys took turns to walk the ladies back, huifen was brave enough to walk to her home alone! haha!

Wah, very tired liao, tomolo still have meeting with my sports com group members, gotta go sleep liao. Moral of the movie: Be courteous enough to let the "lady" finish pooping, den kick the toilet door and look desperate =D

At last! Ive finish getting my blog skin done. I really love my photoshop, the wonders it could create. Hmmm.. personally, i find the colour combi quite nice. Cyan and white and the feathers(ok, looks more like leaves bt wat the heck) hints at a touch of flying in the sky, and at the same time, has a sort of futuristic sense in it. The dew, spent the MOST time doing it!(other than figuring out how java works :_ )

Spent the whole of today doing it and it was really worth it! Whats left now are more pics and messages from u guys =). Wan ur pic to be posted up here or just wanna chat? please use the shoutbox and leave a message here!!!

Still playing around with this JAVA thingy for the blog skin, Look at the time!!!! And im not done with it yet!!Ahhhhhhh!!! YES! Finally my dad gained enough confidence to let me drive all the way to the west! Still, with his guidance : . First time driving along PIE! Quite heavy traffic, and with the glaring sun, feel like dozing off liao, ahyoh, cannot cannot, must drive more for experience! Anyway, went back PGP today to help my bro pack and move his stuff back home. Ok la, 礼尚往来吗，he helped me that time so help him lo. Wahkao! His room damn messy man, compared to mine.... sparkling clean! ;)

After pack liao, time to go home! I pleaded with my dad to let me drive, and he did! Woohoo!
Journey to the east! Wah, first time drove so far and for so long, quite fun la. Hmmm... think weather getting better and better these few days, although just now abit of drizzle, sun is still quite good. SWIMMING TIME!! 再见了！

Hey hey! "extreme boredom" has finally made me blog! Exams are over finally, but to think again, it has only been 3 months, which isnt very long. Anyway, thats that! Now into the holidays! Its december! Tis the season to be jolly falala la la, la la la la. Haha, im no hardcore Xmas party go'er but i guess it will be fun spending some Xmas spirit with frens and family. Presents!! Ay, budget how much ah? $5 can ornot? :)

Holiday liao, but still have to go back school settle Sports Com and my hostel stuff. Den 16 Dec i going to serve country! ~ Singapura, oh singapura, sunny island, for reservist.... ~ AH!! so fast i kena, somemore in the middle of holidays! Lucky one day oni, phew!
